"Christmas Vacation"

One of my favorite traditions is to watch "Christmas Vacation" around the Christmas holiday! Here are some of my favorite lines from the movie:

Ellen: Clark, Audrey's frozen from the waist down.
Clark: That's all part of the experience, honey.

Todd: Well, something had to come through the window. Something had to break the stereo!
Margo: And why is the carpet all wet, Todd?
Todd: I don't know, Margo!

Ellen: Oh Aunt Bethany, you shouldn't have done that.
Aunt Bethany: Oh dear, did I break wind?
Uncle Lewis: Jesus, did the room clear out, Bethany? Hell no, she means presents. You shouldn't have brought presents.
Clark: Since this is Aunt Bethany's 80th Christmas, I think she should lead us in the saying of Grace.
Aunt Bethany: What, dear?
Nora Griswold: Grace!
Aunt Bethany: Grace? She passed away thirty years ago.
Uncle Lewis: They want you to say Grace.
Uncle Lewis: The BLESSING!
Aunt Bethany: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands/ One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Clark: Amen

Eddie: Merry Christmas. Shitter was full.

Clark: Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?
Eddie: Naw, I'm doing just fine, Clark.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

C'Mon Man!

So every Monday evening, Nick and I always manage to catch the segment on the NFL pre-game show, "C'Mon Man"! I find myself saying this phrase all the time now! It really does apply to all things hilarious, yet stupid and dumb and annoying! I say it now when I'm driving, when people are late for appointments, when I was making spaghetti last night and somehow messed it up...you get the point! www.youtube.com

Which leads me to the most stupid, dumb, annoying event on reality tv last week: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills "The Dinner Party from Hell". Don't get me wrong, the episodes are always AMAZING! However, Camille's "friend", the crazy B**ch whose life is chronicled on the show "Medium" (I'm never going to watch THAT show), was sooooo annoying. I mean on a scale of 1 to 10...she was a 25 on the annoying scale. And she was smoking an electronic cigarette inside during the dinner party and looking possessed....Seriously, C'MON MAN!

Holiday Happenings!

This past weekend we went on a carriage ride through Highland Park with Chrissy and Ryan! It was so much fun and the weather was perfect!!

With our set of horses: Bert & Tony

I also got to spend a lot of time with Lexie, Riley & Lady this weekend. We had a mini photo shoot (lasted 30 seconds) so we could get a good shot of all three of them for their Christmas stocking! I think it turned out pretty cute!
Finally, I leave you with a picture of either Lexie or Riley (not sure which one b/c they are identical) helping my mom out with the dishes. So precious!

Love for Dash!

Yes, I am a fan of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and watch the spin-off shows as well! I was beyond thrilled when Ms. Kourtney Kardashian released her family's Christmas photo yesterday. Yes, it is an odd non-smiling photo especially for a Christmas card, but this family thrives on drama....so it is perfect.
My 2 favorite looks: Kim's gorgeous white dress & Kourtney's Alexander McQueen tuxedo! I would have done Kim's hair different but she is so gorgeous no matter what! OMG and Mason is super adorable.

New Look!!!

So....how do you like the new look? Hollie @ Drama Mama Designs designed my fabulous new page and I am obsessed. Seriously....I DIE! I think it perfectly incorporates a few of my favorite things: WINE, BLING, & ALL THINGS FABULOUS! Thanks again Hollie!!

Ok....so I went to the new H&M at Northpark last Friday afternoon at 4pm...and Oh My Gosh! I felt like I was at some sort of crazy sample sale. The new H&M is a preview-only store at this point which means that it they have all of their most recent fall looks for sale...but to be honest, I think it was about 1/10th of the usual merchandise H&M carries. This store will close in April and then the real deal will open in November 2011.

But none the less, I decided to wait 20 minutes for a dressing room and then 15 minutes in the checkout line and I was outta there in about an hour. I bought one cute top/dress, all black with some rhinestone detial around the neck, one multi-colored cuff bracelet, a black clutch purse with some chunky rhinestone detailing, and then a couple cute headbands ($4 each) for Christmas presents! You will have to forgive me, but H&M is not the best about letting me find the images on their website so you will have to live with a pic of my cuff bracelet I'm wearing today to work.

On a final note, here is what I am LOVING this month:

-Reality TV: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills...Lisa is my new favorite housewife

-MAC Lipstick in Angel

-How much Lexie (my parents' dog) is starting to look like Lady (my dog)

-103.7 The Christmas Station

-Gap Glitter ballet flat
-Maybelline "Falsies" mascara

-Wine: Riesling & Cabernet Sauvignon

-Eating @ The Grape with friends!

I hope you like the new look! Until next time...

ICE!!!

2 posts in 2 days...EXCELLENT!!

This past weekend, we checked out ICE! at the Gaylor Texan. This year's theme, A Charlie Brown Christmas! It was also my friend Laurin's birthday which gave everyone a great excuse to all get together to celebrate her birthday and go to ICE! together! We had a blast running around and taking pics and trying to stay warm in the 7-degree temps. Enjoy!

New Jersey & New York!

For the week of Thanksgiving, my family traveled to New Milford, New Jersey to celebrate the holiday and to see my cousin, Scott, and his now wife, Camille, get married the day before Thanksgiving. After several months of saving up, we all jumped on a plane at 7am Tuesday morning and were on our way to New Jersey...

Here are some of the cousins our first night in Jersey before Pizza night at Nellie's. Best Pizza EVER!!!
The day of the wedding (Wednesday) my family went to White Manna Hamburgers and they are the greasiest things ever, but oh so good!

Scott & Camille entering the receptions @ Season's (EPIC reception venue). They need to have this place in Dallas!

Nick and I at the reception (Let's pretend I was drinking water all night ;)

You will notice I took no pics on Thanksgiving (day after the wedding) because of the amount of "water" I was drinking at the wedding! I think my liver is still shot...
On Friday, we had to go into The City. We did not do a lot of shopping because 1)the guys were with us 2)I had bought a couple new items before we went 3)I would rather take cute pics! So, we explored Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City, and a new lunch must: John's Pizzeria. It was awesome!

Success!!
