Update!!

How has it been 20 days since I last blogged?!?! I have been extremely busy with work and fixing things at our house because something breaks every single day! I'm worn out, but that's ok! I just started my swimsuit diet yesterday and so far so good. I managed to control myself while out to eat last night at Kelly's Eastside in downtown Plano which was a fun new spot to discover. I figure if I have a small breakfast, a Lean Cuisine for lunch, and then a "healthier" dinner with less alcohol, then I will be in good shape come June. This is the first year that I have not gotten a new swimsuit by this point, but I am in no mood (yet)!!

I am also very excited because I got tickets to Carrie Underwood. They are front row (for once Ticketmaster did not disappoint) and I have to wait until October for the show to roll into town. Last time Carrie came to DFW, I missed the show and heard how amazing it was and told myself that I had to catch her the next time she came. I'm so excited.

A couple weeks ago, Nick and I had the pleasure of taking my grandparents to a Mavericks regular season game for their 68th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!! Mimi knows all of the Mavs by name and Dirk is her favorite player. It was so much fun to go with them and I think they had a blast! Dustin even managed to announce their anniversary on the jumbo tron below.

Finally, on a sad note, I wanted to send special prayers to The Fenner Family for the loss of Lindsay's mom this past week. It is always sad to lose a loved one having just lost my uncle a couple weeks back. We are all praying for you.

I gave in!

So yesterday, I gave in, and got a membership to....Lifetime Fitness. I'm very excited about going to the new gym, but am dreading the fact that now I have no excuse not to go to the gym.

I love coming home from work and playing with Lady, relaxing, watching some TV and just hanging out. At our old complex in The Village, we had a "free" gym that was so convenient and really nice to work out in. Since we moved out of the apartment about a month and a half ago, I have had a very lazy workout attitude and I need to get back into the swing of things.

Lifetime has lots of great classes that I am interested in, and I'm anxious to get in shape for summertime!! Usually, by this time I have gone looking for swimsuits and I think this year I have just been dreading it! I think my waistline will soon love Lifetime! Wish me luck!

My Spring Break = 3 Day weekend!

I do not get spring breaks anymore like some of my teacher friends, and it kinda sux, but it makes a 3 day weekend that much sweeter. Today is my Friday because my dad gave us off tomorrow and I am beyond pumped!!

I have already booked a massage and plan to get my nails done! I also plan to lounge on a patio for several hours and drink some yummy drinks and pretend I am in Jamaica!

I also plan to rest up for Sunday because (as usual) it will be a marathon holiday with my family and Nick's family. We always have a blast, but try to cram as much in as possible.

And on another fun note, I got my mom and I tickets for her birthday to Wicked in late May when it swings through Dallas. I am so excited!

My Picks!

As some of you might know, I am obsessed with all things reality TV. I especially love this season of Dancing With the Stars!! The cast is stellar and my two favorite couples are:

I also am a fan of American Idol. However, this season has been a disappointment. I love Ellen as the new judge but she needs to work on her comments. My call is the show will not survive for much longer especially if Simon leaves.

My new favorite show is Kell on Earth on Bravo. The season finale was last night, and it was awesome! People's Revolution is Kelly Cutrone's fashion PR company and she is a total bad a**! She is not afraid to tell people what's up and she does things her way. I LOVE IT! Maybe someday I can start up something on the side just like People's Rev! She is such a Power Girl.

Finally, I love the Real Housewives series on Bravo. Currently, The Real Housewives of New York is airing and it's the first time I've watched this series. I love the Real Housewives of Orange County and New Jersey. If you have never seen it, it is a total train wreck! Great TV!

Weekend Recap!

My weekend was soooo much fun and it all started on Friday night with a Girls Night Out with Becca, Lindsay, Emily, and Rachell. I have known these ladies since elementary school and junior high and they have all been such loyal friends through the years. We always manage to have a fabulous time when we go out, and this was case on Friday night.

We started out at Casa Milagro and had a couple of Sangria Swirls which were soooo yummy and some awesome Mexican food. Then, we headed back to our casita so that the girls could see the new place and meet Lady! We had some wine and then all decided to go to Houlihan's for a BHS reunion. I had a total blast and I think the moms were thrilled to get out of the house and let loose for a couple hours!

On Saturday evening, we got together with Brandon & Trina which is always a great time and little snow flurries started appearing. I thought the snow would stop during the night, however, it definitely did not and this is what Lady and I played in the following day:

I Still Like to Party!

It was a fantastic weekend celebrating Nick's birthday and enjoying the festivities on Lower Greenville for St. Patty's!

Friday night we started off at Houlihan's @ Firewheel which has become one of our new favorite spots. We had a really fun group and it was fun to just relax and chill with some tasty beverages.

On Saturday, we traveled to our old stomping ground on Lower Greenville with my best friend Kara and her boyfriend, Brandon. Nick was tired after his bday celebration, but he was a trooper and went with me! We arrived to the block party around 11 and stayed for a couple hours! We had a total blast and at about 2:30, when there were 100,000 people surrounding us, we decided to high tail it outta there! Then we ventured to Big Al & Red Neck Steve's McKinney Ave. Tavern for some lunch and a recap. After all was said and done, we were exhausted but had sooooo much fun. The weather was perfect and it was good to see old friends from high school and college.

We went to Urban Crust on Saturday night with Brandon & Trina b/c they couldn't join us on Friday night for Nick's bday celebration! On Sunday, we had a celebration at MiCo's with Nick's parents, sister, and sweet nieces. Whew...it was quite a weekend, but so much fun!!!!

Sunday Funday!

Hello Everyone~
It has been a very successful weekend. I just got done with a little work, and am now ready for Sunday Funday and spending it watching E! for the Oscar arrivals and then the Oscars later tonight!

I think I've been to Super Target about 7 times this weekend which is a record. I can't imagine my life without Super Target. It's genius!

We have 99.9% of our casita finished, decorated, organized, etc., etc.!!!! We got a new headboard from The Great Indoors and it looks fab with the bedding. We hung lots of pictures on the walls and it makes all of the rooms look so much better. The guest bedroom still needs a little bit of work, but I'll get to that soon.

We went to Houlihan's on Friday night with Brandon and Trina which was a blast! Nick and I watched the Mavs on Saturday night and just took it easy for once!

Overall, I would say we got a lot accomplished (including giving Lady a bath) and now it's time to start Sunday Funday.
