Lady!

I have nothing exciting to chat about tonight other than we went to Urban Crust for HH today and it was amazing! This weekend, we are going to Austin to celebrate my bestie's birthday which I'm sooooo excited about! Gotta go shopping tomorrow!

Just wanted to introduce my other bestie: Lady Lucious! I came up with the name Lady but Nick likes to think it is after Lady Gaga. Lucious is her middle name because our favorite bartender in Jamaica thought my name was Lucious and we Loved it!

She is a miniature long-haired English Cream dachshund.

She is 7 months old and a true joy.
She is also a Red Raider although she comes from some place called Oklahoma ;)

She loves everyone and all dogs.

10 Great Things About Today!

1. I got my car back and it is soooo pretty! I need to try and keep it this clean all the time! Thanks Sewell!
2. I took my phone by the Verizon store because it kept "timing out" and I think the guy fixed it. I have faith!
3. I am going to Amigo's in 10 minutes....Yessssssssss!
4. We are moving in 25 days...less than a month!
5. I got through the day without someone yelling at me on the phone about how THEY are the "victim"!
6. Project Runway and the finale of Jersey Shore are on tonight! *Fistpump*
7. I cannot wait to get AT&T U-verse when we move so that I can record more than two shows at a time and not have to watch either one of them.
8. Sonic Happy Hour is amazing! Diet Vanilla Coke for 83 cents!
9. Tomorrow is Friday!
10. I went to DSW shoe warehouse today and got some comfy work shoes that possibly look "old ladyish" but I DON'T CARE BECAUSE THEY'RE COMFORTABLE!

The Wreck

So tonight has started off with the classic line, "She doesn't need a husband, she needs a therapist." The Bachelor is classic. I could use line after line from these girls. And no, this is NOT the "wreck" I was referring to.

Last Wednesday, I went out to run an errand with my mom and was headed back to the apartment going eastbound on Northwest Highway and the Tollway when a guy rear-ended me. Not cool, but I do handle accidents for a living and I knew what to expect. These things take time to investigate and are not fun to go through, much less handle. How the tables have turned. Today, the insurance company accepted liability (thank goodness there are some honest ppl in the world still) and I took my car in for repairs and to get a rental. So for now, I'm driving a tank and it's kind of hilarious! Luckily, there were no injuries and the guy had insurance.

In other news, the Cowboys lost...boo! I'm just happy I was old enought to remember our Super Bowls with the Aikman, Irvin, and Smith. Good memories of selling Camp Fire candy at the supermarkets before the SuperBowls and then hanging out with Mom, Dad, & Dusty.

And a word to the wise, next time you get in an auto accident...be nice to your adjuster! They're human too!

"Connection"??

So I just finished watching "The Bachelor". Every season I say I'm not going to watch but I always do! I just love how all of the individuals say they have a "CONNECTION" with the girls. Seriously...a connection??? Whatever!!!!

This past weekend was spent reading a trashy romance novel which totally made my Friday night. On Saturday, we watched the Cowboys win their first playoff game which was sooo much fun! Saturday night, we went to Barcadia to celebrate Chrissy's birthday, which was crazy and so much fun! We've never been to Barcadia before...but when Nick started the "Jersey Shore" fist pump, it was happening from there on out! Sunday, we relaxed and ate dinner at my parent's house!

I am so excited about this weekend and watching Cowboys' Playoff Game #2 against Favre! We are going to the McKinney Tavern with Nick's sister and brother in law. I am soooo excited and pumped! I think this is our year!

I cannot wait for American Idol to start tomorrow night!!

Finally, we are moving mid February....so get ready for lots of excitement!!!

Great Kick-off to a New Year!!

I'm going to do this post in reverse b/c that's how the pics popped up. Just to provide a short recap, I had a great start to the New Year. I have moved on since my last post concerning TSO, and will now look forward to bigger and better things. This past weekend was spent doing tons of fun things including spending time with both mine and Nick's families, eating lots of food, drinking lots of cocktails, and enjoying my Christmas present from Nick which included staying a night at my favorite hotel, Hotel ZaZa and then going to the Cowboys/Eagles game on Sunday. The Cowboys won and we had a blast! See below for pics and Happy New Year to everyone!
